You have been sent to this website because the site that you were on is Stealing content from one or more websites. And at lease one of those sites has taken steps to blocked or otherwise disallowed such use of their content.

Just a thought, if this site is doing unscrupulous things such as stealing content, what other nefarious activities may they be engaged in and what risk did it put you in?

This is another form of "Hotlinking"

(AKA: leeching, piggy-backing, direct linking, website hijacking, site scraping) - Although there are several ways this is done. In this case they are stealing a websites content and bandwidth by incorporating links to its content in their web pages. When you visited the page, the content was loaded from the owner's website or blog into their page. The owner's server bandwidth is used to create the page, not the thief's bandwidth. This is prohibited on all legitimate sites, message boards, and blogs, as it saps bandwidth from the site serving the content or media, violates any copyrights, and earns the disdain of the site's owners. Keep in mind This is not only bad etiquette, it's theft.
